En Plen Air Watercolour Studies with Contemporary Balinese Artist, featured in ‘Sacred Home’ Exhibition Komang Suardiana. A master of photo realism, Suardiana’s technique in this direction has been perfected. However, it is his aesthetic partnership between strong realism and abstract interpretations that brings a unique statement to each of his paintings. Here, Suardiana’s watercolour studies from several years ago, reveal a pivotal turning point in his technique development. Here, through his watercolours en plan air, he begins to explore a looser, freer transition into his more mature techniques.
