The first piece in the Fortitude series. The ‘Bunga Bintang’ is a flower growing wild in the rice fields near water sources. In local practice, it is often used as medicine for any eye ailment.

Fortitude, is a collection of works that explores quiet strength and modest constancy. In this case, the modest courage reflected in our rambling weeds.  Their beauty unseen and their strength unrecognised. The first flower in this series, encourages us to open our ‘perception’ and see what is usually overlooked.
