In these artist miniature paintings, like Tarian Alam I, there is a bold spontaneity and experimentation. Quite known for his large mix of media installations as well as canvas works. In these artists’ mixed media studies, there is a range of open explorations reflecting Handis’ broad spectrum of influences. In the series Tarian Alam, there are bold plays in composition. A play of colour and geometry that echoes nuances of the primitivism of Chagall but is more solid and earthy. Appropriate to the theme that has been consistent in Handis’ art. Nature and issues relating to human impact on our environment.
